Tips & Helpful Features

Following a Page

Subscribe to a page to get notified when changes are made:
Follow pages
If you want to be notified of changes and comments made on a particular page by other people, you can choose to follow that page. You automatically follow pages you create or edit. Otherwise, you can follow a page by clicking Updates at the top right on the page, and switching on the Follow This Page toggle.

Favoriting a Page

Add a frequently visited page to your favorites:
Favorites
Want to access the same pages repeatedly without having to search? Favoriting a page puts it one click away at the top of your sidebar. Let's say you're working on a temporary project, you can pin the resources you need here, then remove them when you're done 📍

Reminders

Use @ mentions to set reminders for yourself or others:
Reminders & @-mentions
The @ symbol is a pretty versatile tool in Notion. You can use it to create links to other pages in your workspace, mention another person to get their attention, add a date to a page, or set a reminder. We call this @-mentioning or @-tagging.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Very helpful time-saving shortcuts:
Learn the shortcuts
Notion is fully equipped with keyboard and Markdown shortcuts so you can do everything you need without ever touching your mouse 🐭 Note: You'll see cmd/ctrl used a lot below. This indicates command on Mac and control on Windows and Linux. These instructions are for English/QWERTY keyboards, but internationalization is on the roadmap!
